Self-Care, Words to be Weeded!

In Articles, Healing journey by David Fugel0 Comments

In Minnesota, a study was completed of twins separated at birth. It is very interesting to discover what the influences were on their happiness:

  • Genes account for 50%,
  • Environment/circumstances accounts for 10%, and
  • Intentional activities, (what we think, say and do) accounts for 40%!

What does this tell us? Whether you are a twin or not, our focus is best directed to intentional activities. Let’s start with words. Words that can be eliminated resulting in a positive effect on our happiness are:

  • Want
  • Should
  • Hate
  • Can’t
  • Poor
  • Never
  • Impossible

Try it! Replace “want” with “desire”, and “should” with “can” or “get to”! Nothing is “impossible”.

Napoleon Hill said, “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.”
